With the decrease in active covid cases across the globe, people are looking to travel again. As reported by UNWTO, in their World Tourist Barometer, international travel with overnight stay has increased by 58 pc in July-September 2021 when compared to the same timeline for last year.

Ho Ren Yung, senior vice president, brand, of Banyan Tree says that the company had always believed that tourism was a powerful force for steering positive change. He further added that the group is looking to create a new ecosystem for responsible travel, building forward with their partners and guests.
Throughout the upcoming year, 2022 it will be introducing five new brands, namely Garrya, Homm and Folio, along with two new brand extensions of Banyan Tree named Veya and Escape. This will bring the portfolio to a total of 10 unique brands allowing Banyan Tree Group to fully exploit the growth opportunities presented by the future, post-Covid 19 in purposeful travel.
Yung also added that it multi-brand ecosystem will secure the presence in the lifestyle spectrum of Asia, while this will also help them in keeping up with the evolving needs of diverse and affluent travellers from around the globe.
Banyan Tree group is also ensuring that all its brands comply with “Stay for Good” programme, that is inline with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. “Stay for good” has its roots in the core values of management of operations and guest experience whilst promoting community engagement and partnership.
Up till now, Banyan Tree Group has signed 20 agreements worldwide including Benin, Mexico, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Thailand, China and Vietnam. Pertaining to the new brands announced, Banyan Tree Group has effectively signed four Garrya and two Homms in Asia with more deals under negotiations.
